Tea tree oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of a melaleuca alternifolia tree originating from Australia. It is a very powerful antibacterial agent and, as such, is considered very effective in treating acne outbreaks.
How To Use Tea Tree Oil For Acne
Some people think that tea tree oil is an excellent remedy for acne from mother nature. On contact, it destroys the bacteria of acne and, at the same time, is one of the main culprits for the formation of acne. And this happens without the adverse side effects that accompany the active ingredients used in most over-the-counter acne treatments (such as benzoyl peroxide).
You must first understand that pure tea tree oil is very strong. For many, it is too strong and can irritate the skin. For this reason, it is better to do a small skin test before applying it to the face.
Dip the cotton swab in the oil and apply it to a small area of ââskin on the elbow. Any side effects should appear within two hours. If skin irritation occurs, dilute tea tree oil with water approximately 50/50. Almost anyone can tolerate a 50% solution.
To treat acne, first wash your face gently with a mild, non-moisturizing agent, rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not scrub! This will only increase the irritation that is already caused by acne.
Immerse a clean cotton swab in tea tree oil (or 50/50 solution) and apply it directly to acne. Remember to treat lesions in all stages of formation, because P-acne bacteria are present in all of them. Do not flush! You want the oil to penetrate all acne breakouts and kill active bacteria.
Repeat this pattern twice a day (morning and evening) until the flash stops. The duration of these procedures depends entirely on the severity of acne. You must be patient and continue treatment, even if the results do not appear quickly.
Some people report that rinsing the face with an astringent with 4 or 5 drops of tea tree oil and one glass of water reduces the time needed to eliminate the epidemic. If you decide to add it to your treatment twice a day, use it no more than once a day and use it in the middle of the day, halfway between the main procedures.
Tea tree oil acne products. These are shampoos, creams, lotions, skin tonic, gel, and other products that you can think of. It can be mixed with aloe. To use it, you must use a mild or mild soap to wash your face; and then use the mixture to rub the affected part of the face.
It can also be mixed with other chemicals to treat acne. If you have tried them before and don’t know what to do with it, I advise you to visit any health products store, find products containing tea tree oil, and use it. If this does not help, consult a dermatologist. And remember, when buying tea tree oil for acne, make sure it is 100 percent pure. All brands are not created equal, and those that add other ingredients can cause additional skin irritation.
